Mark and Helen began
their ministry in Paoli Indiana. Their family consisted of
Mark, Helen, and their three daughters; Annette, Melissa and Heather.
Life in Indiana was good providing a livelihood through Mark's
Construction Company and part-time farming and Helen as a
teacher’s
aide.
Mark and Helen believing God to be leading their lives
into a deeper commitment to full-time Christian ministry
began to take
night classes at the Louisville Bible College in Louisville
Kentucky and preaching at Nicholson Valley Christian Church.
Through Mark’s
construction experience and Helen’s years of working VBS and
children’s choirs in the local congregation, they took these
experiences and took short-term mission trips to Haiti, Jamaica
and Guyana, South America. Believing in God's call to full-time ministry the Begarly’s
left their home in Southern Indiana in 1987, and entered Johnson
Bible College in Knoxville Tennessee. Mark majored in Preaching
with his second emphasis being Missions and graduated in May 1991.
During their years at JBC the Begarly’s ministered at Meadowbrook
Christian Church part-time taking the full-time preaching position
after graduation.

Being lead by the
Lord the Begarly’s left the ministry at Meadowbrook
Christian Church, committed their lives to missions and left to serve the Lord
in Zambia, Africa, with Zambia Christian Mission arriving in Zambia in 1992.
Leaving their two oldest daughters in the USA, Annette married and Melissa
graduated from high school. The Begarly’s work in Zambia consisted of
Ladies Conferences and Men’s Leadership training of local leaders. Their
work ended in Zambia on May 5, 1995.
While in Zambia the Begarly’s received
an invitation to come and build a Christian Youth Camp on Hunnington Farm
in Zimbabwe, Africa. With the invitation
and youth ministry opportunities on August 3, 1996 the Begarly’s began
their new work in Zimbabwe Africa. They now reside in Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe.
Their ministry consists of building and establishing a Christian Youth Camp,
as well
as running and establishing other ministries, with a second vision for a
Counseling /Youth Center in Chinhoyi. The Begarly’s were missions minister
and family of the Syria Christian Church Outreach Mission from 1995 through
2003.
Seeing the growth of the Mission and the need
for a broader base of support
the Begarly’s now have started the Hearing and Receiving Christ Ministries,
Inc. which is a "not for profit" charity. |
